Thanks for that Bill. A much-needed respite from the gathering sh*tstorm, just as it is starting to sprinkle.

We 𝗰𝗮𝗻 save tomorrow folks. One 14-year old at a time...

When the world looks like it is caving in, work is the best medicine. Never fails. Been there, done that, got the t-shirt and wore it out. Helps to prove that YOU are not the maroon! It is them! Just sayin'

I went from being a sweet kid in elementary school to being a real turd by 9th grade. My father got me a summer job with a local plasterer building scaffolds and tossing “mud” onto the various levels shovel by shovel. I made $2.00 an hour and loved the work. I got stronger, worked outside and met my girlfriend after work at the local drive-in for a coke. No computer, cell phone, video games. I ended up working for this hard ass guy every summer thru high school. Bill’s grandson should move in with him and do what Tom is doing with his kids. Can I send you MY 14 year old grandson as well?

Yes Bill, a most beautiful picture of our youth today, and a most beautiful understanding of you. "give a child a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a child to fish and you feed him for a lifetime”…if only they want to learn 🤔

Hi Bill, You write some great blogs, but todays' moved me more than most. I did not experience a similar experience as your grandson, but at 80 I did have ones like it where I had the ability and choice to recognize it as vital in life, or to learn later in life like we all have. We are all still having those moments, and still learning or not. Thanks as usual to making it evident.

Thank you, Bill..for the update of that beautiful family chapel; and, yes, the wine bottle cross is

glorious !!

Hey, y'all.....I have been looking for the WOMEN who used to post comments: Where did they go, Why did they go? I think I know why - I noticed too much macho macho man discounting, intimidating and just plain nasty posts to them and what they contributed. Maybe I am wrong.

I could live w/ being wrong to see Dorothy and others' back in Comments.

Atta boy Bill...some of the grandest days of my life was working with my GrandPappy doing what no one else wanted to do on the construction job." Whatever you find to do...do with all your might".

Also "If you get a chance to learn something, go ahead and do it...never can tell when might come in handy"...Such were the words of P.P. Ewing, Pantelford Poindexter Ewing. Of course the kids ALWAYS like to refer to him as PP.

It sounds like you might want to invest in some string and a level to finish that floor install.

Love the fact that you built a Chapel on your Ranch. And in light of all the economic issues I am sure you pray often for wisdom for our leaders.

Heavens know that they need it!

My”two cents” says the Fed will ease/tighten for 10 years plus. Hovering somewhere in the 6-8% range.

Reason:they can’t fix the normal way. So they will try to fix over a long period of time.

Bill:

Is San Martin located near the Chaco Province. I found San Martin de los Andes; is this the same town you are in. Is this where your ranch is. I was born near Resistencia. Currently live in Los Angeles. Be well. Love your reports.

That's a timeless Granddad- Grandson story. Told sweetly with a nice dose of self-deprecating humor. Thanks for the chuckle to start my day!

Bill .. perfect solution to most issues especially when dealing with younger generations .. WORK jobs just do it .. to much talking in the head and not enough DOING .. well done for both old and young .. stop thinking and start doing .. all the world will try to stop your doing by creating 'words' ad infinitum until nothing gets done while everybody is arguing about how it should be done but then they all go away and don't do a THING but feel great that they've stopped you from doing anything .. sadly the story of modern (western) humans .. just a bunch of talkers!

I have an 18 year-old who would greatly benefit by such work. Come to think of it, so could his father. Let me know if you need us, and we’ll be there! Thanks again for another wonderful installment.
